Pedal Block Review

The Pedal Block works as advertised. I have been using it in my rehearsal room and on gigs and no longer need to use duck tape to secure my slave pedal on my DW 9000 double pedal. I also purchased the KickBlock Deluxe Drum Rug. I added additional velcro to the underside of my slave pedal and it gave me additional grip to the rug resulting in a more secure feel without any movement of the slave pedal.

Pedal blocks are an incredible great addition to my drum set, it added stability and as a result confidence when playing, highly recommended!

Great if you can find the right rug/carpet when on the road. When the Velcro does connect, it’s a game changer! Super solid and a safe material for your drums to lean against.

Did the job

Very good design. Keeps my kick from creeping as I'm a hard player and sometimes I don't fasten the legs tight, and it also stops my left dble kick pedal from moving. Glad I bought it.

Doesn't work for everyone's drum rug unfortunately..

So I order my pedalblock from sweetwater for my double Bass pedal with extremely high expectations.. So I bought a 5.2ft x 6.5ft IBVIVIC branded drum padded rug from Amazon for My kit as I have hardwood floors. And I know probably getting a rug off amazon was probably was my first mistake.. but the pedalblock would not stick at all on my rug unfortunately.. I had to somewhat Jerry rig the carpet itself, and screw from the bottom of the rug into my pedalblock to keep it in place.. It kinda turned what I'd though would be an easy "pick up and go" solution to a kinda "permanent solution", and it kinda sucks because instead of having to just adjust my left kick pedal, I then need to adjust the whole kit to be able to have my left kick pedal sit in place where it needs to be as that's where the pedalblock is set permanently with the run, so far it hasn't ripped through my rug but I'm sure in the future I'll likely have to get a new rug; as even my entire kit has to be SPIKED into the rug and also a mixture of weights to keep it in place (which of course the spikes are slowly ripping into the first layer off the rug tugging into the bottom rubber layer now). I'm sure if I were to get a better rug this product would be much much better for my use. But for now the pedalblock didn't do the job I essentially was hoping it would do for me.
