Both the KickBlock and the PedalBlock do precisely what they have been said to do and then some, seemingly defying the laws of physics. Of course the adhering Velcro type surface should hold firm but the their mass is virtually nothing, being so lightweight. The skeptics should be forgiven for doubting under the circumstances, especially for the bass drum and pedals. I have a 26" bass drum and a set of Direct Drive double pedals and regardless of how hard or fast one can move their feet, these blocks just laugh at attempts to displace them! Of course, a hi hat is easily anchored as well. Provided that the carpet utilized can adhere to Velcro, these devices are like solid steel anvils, except that they are very respectful of the items they are holding. Being light and soft, no damage of any kind occurs to the gear. Yet, with the grip of a Boa Constrictor, they need to be almost pried off to remove. Nevertheless, they are quickly removed without harming the carpet either, being both a brilliant and good looking design. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! A+++
